ISDN Internet Access

What is ISDN?

ISDN stands for "Integrated Services Digital Network." It is a faster way to connect to the Internet. You can connect at 64k or combine 2 data channels to connect at 128k.

The Main Benifit apart from faster Internet Access is that you can connect 2 x phones, a Fax Machine, the Internet and an EFTPOS Termainal to the Special Modem, and use any 2 at the same time. Also if your on the Internet at 128k and you have an incomming fax or phone call, the Internet will slow to 64k and allow the incomming call in. When this call is completed the internet will return to full speed.

To use ISDN you need to have the correct Phone Lines and Modem installed at you premisis. Telstra can do this and supply you with the special NT2Plus1 Modem that you will require. IDSN is available to 98% of Landline users in Australia.
